This storm is a category three borderline four. This is a dangerous storm.
If you live in Florida and yet to evacuate. Don't hesitate and go now, because your time is running short to do so. I predict the storm will be coming on land this afternoon by six at the earliest and 10 by the latest.
I already predicted at four this morning that Florida will be directly hit and now intellicast has updated their model to reflect what I had already concluded on what was going to happen.
I'm a storm nut and a chaser in my area. I'm good at reading the radar and models.
Stay safe, don't worry about your weight loss right now, but please go now.

Yes, if you live on the coast of Florida, GA, SC, or NC, get out now. Don't panic, that will only slow you down.1

It's a 4 now and they project the eye to be just off the shore of my town. I'm 6 miles inland and we're staying here. Too late to leave anyways. Keep calm, get in the safest room in your house, and try to find something to distract yourself with.0

Just get out of there. Get away and do all you can to be safe. That goes for anyone in FL going through this..you people get safe!!!0

If it's not raining yet theres time to leave1 -
Just pack, fill up and leave. I know it is stressful, but not sure what advice to give you to reduce that stress. I think once you get out the level of stress might come down a bit until you have to make your way back. I can't imagine the damage that will be done at a category 4. I just went through Hermine at a category 1 and the days after were the worst. My thoughts are with anyone being affected by this storm.1

It is raining. Everyone needs to be where they're going to be by noon.0 -
I was in South Florida in 2005 for Hurricane Rita which caused major damage despite only being a Cat 1. I'm stressed on behalf of my coworkers and friends still there. I can't do anything for them - but you can manage your stress by getting your stuff together and evacuating.
Stay safe!

Take a diet break and be safe. Once things are back to normal pick it back up. Nobody will judge you except yourself, just let it go for a while. Of course you can keep yourself from eating junk food, but you need to keep your stress levels manageable, and your energy up. So I say make smart choices, and eat what you need to eat to stay healthy and safe. Good luck!2

The radar shows the main part of the storm won't hit until tonight. There's time to get out if you go now.
It's now been updated to a category four. You don't want to around for this.1 -

I appreciate your concern but telling people to leave their house when they aren't in an evacuation zone is how panic starts. Just because the worst part of the storm won't be here till tonight doesn't mean the weather will be passable in the meantime. We've been through cat 4 hurricanes in our house before.0 -

Focus on what you can control. Prioritize the safety of yourself and your family. Take it one moment at a time and understand (realize) that there may be damage to the physical things (home, car, etc.) and that you may have to deal with some level of chaos for a short while.
I lived in Texas and went through a hurricane that flooded parts of my house. We worked through it and moved on. You will too.1 -
Stay safe. I pray nothing happens to you. I honestly would be skipping town.
Stock the house with food, water, flash lights, batteries and a weather radio if nothing else and be prepared to leave if you need too.
It is a category four, a dangerous one, people who are told to evacuate should evacuate. Obama has already called for a state of emergency and the storm hasn't come on shore yet.1 -
As someone who lives in a very hurricane prone area, a category 4 is not something to ride out. Grab your important papers and find somewhere else to go. Bring snacks and water for the trip - you'll be stuck in a car for a while. Keep calm. I really can't recommend staying home during something like this. My rule has always been a 3 or below I'll ride it through and we're about 25 miles inland.4
-
You should see the storm from space, Nasa has already released photos taken from the satelite. It's a huge system.
This isn't one to ride out. You really should consider preparing to evacuate.1 -
Not to mention it looks like it will circle back around. What a dick move Hurricane Matthew.2
-
Again, thanks for your concern, but stop. There's not a thing I can do at this point and all you're doing is causing additional stress.1

Be as safe as you can. I used to live on the Gulf Coast, you are right, if you are staying now, stay put! The traffic alone is not where anyone wants to be. Be safe, I have lots of friends in the path, and I wish you all the best!

like you would have even made it. Should have at least made it in the ghost stories thread. Guess you'll have to start over with a new account lolz
Oh heck nah. I'm predicting mid 800's by then. Can't even see my count on mobile anyways.0 -
Yeah I make special posts for numbers and then screen print it and post it in my special posts. It's fun.0

Someone just tried to call me from Jamaica. I don't know anyone in Jamaica. I did not answer. I wonder if it was the hurricane?0
