Background: Cholesterol meds weren't working and were messing with my liver. Needed to get the weight off and wanted to quit smoking. Found MFP and with a book suggested on here quit smoking. Started logging all my food and dropping the weight. I lift. I run. My diaries are open, I eat whatever and have beer and wing nights. I have had up and down weeks and times when I just wanted to say screw it or not wanted to get up for the gym. Through it all my MFP peeps have kept me going, encouraging and chastising as needed. you guys!!!! Now here's the pics:drinker:
Starting weight: 317 lbs.
February 12: about 297
March 5th:286.5
May 4th:263.5 lbs and first 10K
May 28th:252.8 pounds just before I hit maintenance
6 months in, Size 50in waistto 40in waist
2x t-shirt-large t-shirt, in my sons shirt:
And hairy white guy warning on this last pic
Still a work in progress, but getting there.

Good for you! My theory is you still have to live. Would love to know what book you got to help you quit smoking. That is the next biggest thing that I need to do.0
