Goals

I am committed to losing weight that I have gained over the past few month because of heart problems and inactivity. Now I am getting healthy, post heart surgery, and am setting small goals. My first goal is to average one pound per week. Knowing if I lose one pound per week at the end of a year, I will have lost 52 lbs. I am setting a secondary, more ambitious goal for this month to lose 2 lbs. per week to kick start my new journey.

Good for you! It's a wonderful thing to do for your heart. If you'll pre-log your food, hit a daily budget, and adjust it as necessary, a pound a week is completely doable, especially if you're physically up to at least some light exercise. Your doctor is going to be thrilled with you. You're going to be thrilled with how much better you feel.0
