I only drink coffee as a treat once in a while

I used to drink coffee every single day, sometimes twice day, depending on my day. When I quit drinking coffee every day, I lost 10 lbs. I would put lots of cream and lots of sugar. Sometimes I put whip cream on top!

I still drink coffee everyday with half and half and sugar. I limit myself to 2 cups with 2 tsp sugar and 2 tablespoons half and half each and it is 140 calories for both cups. I just work it into my goals. I only put whipped cream on it when I drink it with Irish whiskey. That is definitely a treat, not an every day thing.

I never gave up coffee (I'd be a *kitten* if I did!) but I did change what I put in it-zero calorie sugar, lower point creamers, ect.

Is it really coffee with all that other stuff in it? I stopped drinking as much coffee when the black stuff didn't sit well in my stomach. I can't bring myself to put sugar and creamer in.

I'm primarily a tea drinker. I need far less sugar for tea and often skip the milk. With coffee I like more sugar, milk or cream, and hot chocolate. A tablespoon of Equal Exchange spicy cocoa is a great way to kick my coffee up a bit.

I drink hot coffee with a splash of half and half and splenda in the morning, then take what's left and drink it preworkout with a scoop of protein over ice. Love it.

I drink coffee in the AM, one cup with one tablespoon of half and half (the good stuff). In the afternoon, I've switched to a caffeinated tea to save on the milk calories. I weaned myself off having to sweeten it, and I like it better now, with just a little half n half to cut the acid a hair.

Life without coffee isn't a life worth living. :p

I learned to drink mine with a quarter cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and one measured tablespoon of hazelnut creamer - 58 calories for my 16 ounce coffee. Every morning.

I have 2 cups of coffee a day. Each has 3 teaspoons of Splenda and 2 tablespoons of Sugar-free Sweet Italian Cream creamer. 60 liquid calories I couldn't live without, well I could but I wouldn't want to be around me.

I have a feeling it was quitting the cream/whipped cream and sugar more than the coffee.

I went into Starbucks in America for the first time ever last week, we have millions of them here but I've always avoided it

Those concoctions they serve are not coffee

They are incredibly sweet liquid ...like a candied dessert that put my teeth on edge

Coffee comes in a mug, its hot and black unless you add a splash of milk in which case it's hot and coffee coloured...the splash of milk is about 10-20 calories, if you choose to add sugar it's another 20

How those abominations of choice of syrup and cream ever became known as coffee is quite beyond me

Must we have three conversations going on why people are wrong for the way they take their coffee. I get it. You judge me for the 3 tablespoons of creamer I use or the sweetened, sugary latte I get with my writing group. You can look down on me all you want, but could you just be quieter about it? Or take it to the rant thread that's already ongoing?

Yup. Sugared soda and coffee with cream and sugar were the first things I cut when I started counting calories. I learned to like diet soda and black coffee. Other things that didn't make the cut are take-out and most fast food. 93 lbs down and counting.

Yeah me and my BF both avoid that place unless there is nowhere else to get a cup of coffee. I can't believe how much some people spend at that place, and the calories in those thing...good grief!

If I go to Starbucks, I'll get a Red eye (a small black coffee with a shot of espresso in it) or sometimes I'll get a nonfat latte (no flavoring, no sweetener, although you could go with a sugar free sweetener if you want to keep the calories down). If I go for the latte, I work those calories into my plan for the day. If not, then no sweat.

Otherwise, I drink Death Wish coffee, black. No judgement here.

There's no way I could give up coffee. When I started my weight loss, I used to use the Coffee Mate Hazelnut Cream and it probably had 4 to 5 tablespoons of cream in it. I never measured, but I know it was super high in calories and turned the coffee a very light color. So, I had to find a way to have my coffee because there's no way I was giving that up!! I found the sugar free and fat free versions of hazelnut cream that were much lower in calories and I measured how much cream I put in. It took a little getting used to, but at least I still had my coffee. Instead of 100+ calories a cup, I think it was 60 Then, I found the silk hazelnut almond cream. I think it's on 15 calories a tbsp, so I'd only put 1 tbsp in, and then I could have 3 cups a day! Now, I have hazelnut flavored coffee with a splash of skim milk so I can drink lots of coffee again. Skim milk is 10 calories an oz. Wish I could drink it black, but a little skim milk with the hazelnut flavor and I'm good to go.

Although it must be nice to believe the world revolves around oneself, not everything is about you. Many post their thoughts, opinions and beliefs because it is an expression of themselves.

When you post a comical gif in response to a generic comment, it is natural to assume that you have a sense of humour and are enjoying the possibility of repartee. Posting as though you have become offended strikes me as a little OTT for a coffee thread

I have 3 or 4 coffees per day - just coffee, hot water, small amount of skim milk - about 20 calories.

every now and then I have one of those whipped cream and icecream concoctions - we call them iced coffee here - really yummy but not an everyday thing for me.
