Heart rate ranges

Hi guys. I have recently got the Polar A360 and am really enjoying it.. I am not really knowledgeable on the ranges of heart rates though - which range should I aim for during exercise if I am wanting to burn fat? Should I be pushing my heart rate to increase cardio fitness?

If you want to lose fat, you should exercise. If you're just getting started with any specific type of training (by heart rate, by power, by pace, etc) you should go out and exercise the way you're used to while you pay attention tot he numbers and get a feel for what they mean to you.
"The fat burning zone" has nothing to do with weight loss, it's for endurance athletes to pace ourselves over many hours.1
