Over very recent years I've become addicted to caffeine. I've heard many different views...it makes you hungry, I'd a diuretic, too much acid. Any advice?

I'm a 5 to 8 cup black coffee a day addict. I've heard both good and bad things about it, but for me the good out weigh the bad and I won't be giving it up anytime soon.

I used to drink about a gallon of coffee a day, until it started affecting my anxiety disorder. Now, I only drink decaf with a tablespoon of regular coffee because I need some caffeine.

It's a mild appetite suppressant, love having black coffee during my morning fasting window before I do cardio.

A person builds a tolerance to caffeine, so in the short term it may cause irregular heart beat, suppress appetite, cause headaches, etc.. And the same will be with cold turkey withdrawals after continued use.

    It is a diuretic.

I consume coffee and other caffeinated beverages every day. I even take Excedrin that has caffeine in it for my tension headaches.. I have built a tolerance to my daily consumption.

I am extremely sensitive to caffeine. I love it. I have tried going without, managed about 3 years. I do try to watch my intake because it does mess with my sleep and if I have too much of it I have experienced shaking and heart palpitations. So now I have about 8ounces a day and anything I drink has to be before 3PM.

I usually drink about 1 cup of black coffee a day. Mostly because I like it and I find it works as a mild appetite suppressant, and partly because it keeps things ... Regular, if you know what I mean ;)
