perhaps bodyweight exercises and stuff like walking!

Or if you are a member of a gym, do some classes and ease into it :)

    Welcome to MFP.
Start with walking. Plain old walking.
If you are not use to exercise just doing some purposeful walking a few minutes a day is a great way to start.
Go easy, baby steps. Just get walking. Then walk a bit more, them a bit more and a bit faster.

If you have hip or knee problems you can start in the pool. Just walk up and down in the shallow end. Longer distances and eventually getting into chest deep water will help with your fitness level.

If you swim that is excellent, or try Aqua fit. It is a fun workout with low impact.( It was the first exercise I ever did)

There are a lot of exercises on YouTube that you can do at home. Start with a 10min walking or beginners workout.

Basically find something you like that makes you move.

    Cheers, h.

I have been starting out with walking, I was nervous at first, I know that sounds odd but knew I was very unfit. I went from 4 kms, to now 9kms per day over 5 weeks. Today I started my first jog and although it waa only short bursts over short distances it felt positive. Start with small distances, increase slowly each day and you'll be amazed how good you feel and how energetic you become. Just be sure to only complete what you feel comfortable with. All the best!

@ISparkyI. As you are starting to incorporate jogging into your walking have you thought of following one of the couch to 5km programmes?

Lots of people have had success following these as you have a proven plan to follow (you can get an app for your phone) and one tends to avoid over stressing the body.

Great progress by the way :)
    Cheers, h.
