Weight loss during Strength Training Help!

I'm not sure if I even titled this correctly. I am on my 7th month of this new journey. When I first started I was doing 30 Day Shred and I did NOT lose weight quickly...rather I lost inches and it showed quickly. After 3 months...I changed things up. A friend wanted to run a 10K race so I switched over to running. During training and over the last 3 months...I lost weight quickly but saw less changes physically. I know this is because of the size of a pound of fat vs the size of a pound of muscle. BUT....
Last week I began again with 30 Day Shred and a plan to see a personal trainer at the end of the 30 days to learn how to up my strength training. However...the scale has gone UP 2lbs and is holding there. It's very discouraging. I suppose I just need some encouraging words and a few other "I've been there and it works out" reminders. Constructive criticism is welcome too. I truly want to lose weight, change my body, and be as healthy as possible while making sure its all sustainable in order to keep it up even after I hit my goal. I should add that my food has been on point with only 1 day over calories barely in the last week.
