How many calories should a 4'11" female be eating a day? I'm moderately active which means that (supposedly) I should be taking in around 1300 and still be able to lose weight, however I think I actually gain weight eating 1300 calories.. Help?

What did MFP give you as a calorie goal? Where did you get the 1300 from? How accurate is your logging? As a shortie you'll probably need to be a lot more accurate with your logging than someone with more margin for error unfortunately.

There are a lot of factors that come into play (weight, age, height, activity level, etc..). I would recommend using a food scale, logging daily, and eating 1300 calories a day for 3-4 weeks and adjust from there. In the end, all the calculators are estimates.
