Im 27 year old male jjst been diagnosed with diabetes just wondering can i still lose fat and tone up providing my diets in check?...just worried that having this condition n taking insulin is gonna make me fat im 14 st 6 currently and eant to get to a healthy 13 stone nd maintain it

I honestly find that MFP has helped me with my control. Since I weigh all my food I know how many carbs I'm eating and so can correctly adjust my dose.
It can be frustrating when you've eaten your allotted calories for the day and then you have a hypo, so that's an extra 200 calories that'll come in (I tend to fwd them to the next day).
It is simple to lose weight but you will most likely have days which peeve you right off though don't lose hope. I see it as essential for my management. I would say at the beginning be very liberal with your testing - you can never test enough and you will learn your own body. It can be a big rollercoaster to start with so if your sugars aren't normal, its normal that they arent.
