Binging

I usually start my day off with a healthy breakfast (usually yogurt and granola/fruit) and pack a healthy lunch to go.( usually a salad or left overs from the night before) However, by the time I come home for dinner I only have around 400 calories in me and end up binging when I get home. Then by the end of the day I'm way over my calorie goal. Does this happen to anyone else? How do you keep yourself satiated throughout the day?

Eat more earlier in the day. I'd be famished too if I tried to get through the entire day on only 400 calories. Get enough protein, fat and fiber earlier in the day (along with more calories) so you're not coming home starving and eating everything in sight.1

The fact that you are hungry enough to binge seems like youre not eating enough during the day. What about a healthy snack for your drive home to hd you over until your meal is ready? Maybe try doing slow cooker meals so dinner is ready when you walk in the door?0

I would eat more in the beginning of the day as others have said. I like to save a good third of my calories for dinner (sometimes more) so I will do a light breakfast, moderate lunch, and one or two snacks. If I didn't have snacks I would go crazy and eat way too much when I get home!
If I still want to eat after dinner and I know I'm not actually hungry, I'll just drink water or tea.0 -

How many calories is your goal? Yogurt seems like it would be 100-200 calories. Fruit and granola shouldnt be more than 300 right, unless you're eating a lot? How big is this salad or the left overs? Maybe try a smaller lunch and then a snack instead of a big lunch.0
