Hey Everyone! I'm Courtney! I'm 26. Currently at my heaviest weight at 133lbs. I'm 5'1''. I took dance from the age 5-18, gymnastics for 3 years a kid and horseback riding as a teen for 4 years. Its been 8 years since i graduated from my dance studio and I've put on a few pounds. For a while I thought i'd never go over 125lbs or below 122lbs. But it seams like i've gone up in just the last few years. So I'm here to slowly get back into workouts(without killing myself) and holding my self 100% accountable with what I'm eating.. and working hard to log everything. I mostly used MFP in the past to just count calories during past weight loss attempts.. but this time I'm serious.

Back in 2013 I got into the wonderful (stupid expensive) hobby of Cosplay! So I started creating costumes for myself 3 years ago and will go to conventions and expos and do little photo-shoots with my friends and photographers. About the time i started cosplaying I started receiving hate online for my weight. All my friends would say "ignore the internet.. there's nothing but mean people online .. just trying to push your buttons" or "Just don't look at the comments!". I tried to laugh off the pain.. and tried to count calories to 'show them' i wasn't fat. Three years later.. This time I'm doing it for me. A recent trip to the doctor reveled to me that i was 133lbs. I was totally shocked and felt like a big ole slug. So damnit.. its time to do something about it for me.. not for anyone else. Not only for my weight.. but a few months ago I was diagnosed with scoliosis. Just a small curve in my upper spine that causes my left shoulder to sit SLIGHTLY higher than my right. But i've noticed it causes horrible muscle tension from the left shoulder blade, left shoulder, all the way to the left collarbone.
(update as im writing this. I just finished 30 minutes of a hour long aerobics(dance cardio) workout video.. i havn't done this video in probably 2 years+.. I'm proud I got 30 minutes in. Gotta start some where I guess. Plus for the time being my shoulder pain isn't bothering me at all. Its almost like if the scoliosis is gone. I could get used to this! I can do this!)

In conclusion to my little intro, I'm looking forward to making tons of friends here.. and maybe you can show me the internet isn't full of hateful trolls. <3 Thank you all in advance. (sorry for my ramble-y writing style)

I,ll start by echoing the " Don't listen to the haters" Its mainly jealousy! Not always easy I know but once you start letting them get you they've effectively won! Use their comments as motivation!
Well done on making a start! That's the biggest step!
Use the calorie counter n meal diary on here as it will help monitor your intake!
Carry on with the dance cardio n if your shoulder starts bothering you too much reel it back to just running or treadmill stuff where your arms wont be put under as much stress or work!

Theres a link to a site that may help with some scoliosis exercises!
Good Luck n keep up the good work! ;)
