1. That also contains a lot of sugar and calories. Not exactly a good diet tip and you can achieve the same effect by taking GABA which is safe and cheap with no calories.
2. You would have to drink a lot more water than 2 cups to boost your metabolism by 30%. The amount of ice water needed to increase your metabolism that far would end up in death by hyponatremia.
3. While an orange contains vitamins that are good for muscles and the immune system they are not shown to keep you from getting sore. Also, they contain a fairly small amount of liquid, so if you rely on them to keep you hydrated you need to drink more water period.17 -
1. At 113 calories a cup (for unsweetened, mind you) "tons" of apple juice would not do me any favours.
2. No. Just... no. There isn't even a sniff of fact about that.
3. What she ^ said.9 -
Agree with the two comments above.3

#2 Is this cumulative? Like, can I drink 2 cups of cold water before every meal and increase my metabolism by 4 x 0.3 x 2100=2800calories? My, that's a lot! No, seriously, is it really true? Cos if it is, that means I can eat half a kilogram of Nutella every day and STILL lose weight! Oh the possibilities!8

Apple juice makes you have vivid dreams? Why would I even want that? Does it give you a better quality of sleep to have these vivid dreams? Drinking tons of apple juice doesn't seem like a good use of my limited calories and I would have to get up to use the bathroom more. I don't like to drink my calories and already have weird dreams.

Now you can have weird dreams in HD lol1 -
With stuff like this floating around the internet, it's no wonder people have such a hard time accessing the true simplicity and "secret" of weight loss: Calories In and Calories Out (CICO).
Ugh. Good on the MFP users above for calling BS on these unhelpful "hacks." It's people like you who helped me lose weight and keep it off.4 -
Is the point of this funny advice we've seen or received?0

It's gotten to the point where "life hacks" are equal to "stupid advice that someone makes up because it sounds good to them" in general.1
