Heard this is a great portable way to get in some cardio. Really want to give it a try but I hold a lot of fat on my lower body. Will jump roping make my thighs even more bulky??

Nope. But your thighs will look nice when you shed the layer of fat off them. Yay!!2

Jumping rope works your calves more than your thighs. And you'd only bulk up if you were in a calorie surplus while bearing more weight progressively while you jump rope.

Nope, I don't even think I notice it in my thighs. Like ninerbuff said, feeing it my calves. I have to make sure I stretch them well after jumping rope for more than a minute or two.1

Thanks for the replies! I went 2 minutes on and 1-2 minutes off for about 30+ minutes. I feel it mostly in my ankles but it was okay. Going to try it again but without the breaks1

Careful with joint pain. It can get worse if you try to work through it.2 -
Bulky? Nah, women don't get bulky unless they eat to gain weight while lifting very heavy weights. Even then it is difficult without a little "help". . You may get water retention in your muscles when you start, but that's temporary.1

How would that happen? Just curious on your thoughts.0

Just the constant jumping motion? My sister plays college basketball and all the girls on her team are very bulky and they do a lot of jumping so that was the direction my thoughts were going in...
Sorry if it is a dumb question lol my mother always tells me I was born a blonde0 -

Don't apologize. I mean, it doesn't make sense but I was curious on your thinking lol.
Those girls might not be bulky by other's standards. Also, training for basketball involves more than jumping, and playing basketball for that matter.1
