This morning I took three omega 3 supplements, 1 magnesium tablet, 1 vitamin b tablet and 1 Chromium. I don't intend to take anymore later on. After taking the vitamin and mineral supplements I feel funny. I have slight vertigo. I'm also on my period and I'm a heavy bleeder due to fibroids. Did I take too many supplements and vitamins?

Did you take them on an empty stomach?0

Your supplements should not be causing you vertigo. The main one I'd worry about would be the chromium supplement, since taking too much over time can cause low blood sugar, which can cause dizziness and vertigo. This is quite rare, though, so I'd think this isn't the likely cause.
If the problem persists, I'd call my doctor. Vertigo can be caused by a lot of things.
That said, why do you feel the need to take a chromium supplement? Were you advised to by your doctor? Most people are not deficient in chromium. Diabetics are at risk for a chromium deficiency, as well as the elderly. It is found in many of the foods we eat and there is usually no need to supplement chromium.0 -
Sounds like you should be taking an iron supplement actually- if you are feeling dizzy & lightheaded on your period and are a heavy bleeder it's likely that you are iron deficient and anemic. See your doctor, they can check this quite easily and let you know which supplements you should be taking. Never arbitrarily take supplements except maybe a multivitamin and fish oil/omega 3.3

And please do get checked for anemia. By the time I had noticeable symptoms it was quite advanced and I was close to needing a blood transfusion if it had gotten any worse.
But check with your doctor before taking anything because if you take iron when NOT deficient it can be harmful.0 -
Sounds like me when I was low on iron. Get your blood checked and try taking vitamins at night, after dinner0

I would recommend waiting until you get your blood results before taking iron supplements. Dizzy and lightheaded could mean anemia but also could mean low blood pressure, low blood sugar, any number of things.1 -
I experience similar symptoms on my period. Have you felt like this before when menstruating? Taking the supplements all together may be overloading your system and may help to spread them throughout the day...magnesium at night, vitamin b morning or mid day when you feel you need the most energy, chromium with/right after heavier carb meals, omegas before meals, etc. I am not a doctor but just trying to provide an example of how to space out. However, I generally feel very week during my period and my doctor informed me I was anemic even when I had stopped menstruating for 5 years so being on your period will intensify the anemia. Get blood work done, see a doc instead of consulting the internet to be sure, but know it is probably very easy to remedy.1
