favorite weighted ab exercise?

Im getting lean enough that ab development will make a difference now. I have been doing rope crunches on the cable machine but wonder what you guys are doi g to add a little bulk the your abs.

Front squats really did it for me. I didn't do isolation work at all, but the stabilization required for front squats gave me lots of ab volume.1

I haven't isolated abs in along time but, decline situps holding a plate did the trick. Now I just leave it to squats and deadlifts for core strength.0

I didn't like how blocky isolation moves started to make me look. But I'm a woman. You probably don't care about looking blocky

In the way of isolation exercises for the abs: weighted bent leg jackknifes are my absolute favourite! However I do agree that lots of compound exercises such as squats and deadlifts are great for heaps of areas, including the abs!0
