Hey

Looking for a little support please;

I've just added everything I've binged on in the last two hours and it equates to c.1500 calories. I'm really shocked, and upset that I would do this to myself! I am really fit and exercise loads but struggle with this binge cycle.

    Do you try to restrict or otherwise make up for it after you binge? That never helps.

    If it happens after restriction then you know how to stop it... likely your daily calories are set too low so your body starts releasing hunger hormones as a survival mechanism until you give in and binge. If you increase your daily calories by a couple hundred you will still be in a weight loss deficit but much less likely to binge.

    If it happens for emotional reasons like a stress reaction then you might try therapy or stress reduction.

    Don't forget exercising a lot you may need more calories. Active people need a lot, like over 2000 calories a day sometimes depending on your height, weight, age, activity level...
    If you are "really fit" then you are probably at your goal weight and should reverse diet back up to proper maintenance calories- you aren't supposed to stay in a calorie deficit forever (that's how you break your metabolism).
    Research what a reverse diet is and how to do it properly (you basically slowly increase calories over a period of weeks or months to allow your metabolism time to increase at the same rate as calorie intake).
