Chicken Soup Recipe?
Not feeling so hot... anyone have any good chicken soup recipes? I have a no salt added chicken broth I can use. I have some skinless/boneless chicken, onion, and rice in the house I can use. No carrots or celery in the house. Spinach and kale. Not feeling good enough to go out grocery shopping. I've never made soup before - any suggestions how to make a good chicken soup with what I have? Thank you so much!
Do I cook chicken in the broth or cook it first, then add it??

you won't do much with what you have but still....
dice the chicken and the onions, salted them in some oil and eventually add the stock - let it reduce to half of it and eat it. If there is enough stock in the initial part add the ice and let it cook in it.0 -
Thanks. I have some mrs. dash seasonings to add. And some dried chives I can put in.0

The spinach and kale will add great flavor since you don't have other veggies. If you have lemon and egg you could make it like this soup. If you don't no biggie just use what you have. Use rice for orzo. soupspiceeverythingnice.blogspot.com/2015/06/lemon-chicken-orzo-soup.html1

Chicken soup is very forgiving. You can cook the chicken ahead or in the soup as long as you are sure it's cooked through. Any vegetables can go in chicken soup. Again, as long as they are cooked through the soup's ready to eat. For a thick soup, throw the rice in raw and let it soak up much of the broth -- but if you have cooked rice, that's okay, too. Stir in some peanut butter and you are looking at a West African ground nut stew. Add whatever herbs or spices sound good to you. Throw in a lightly beaten egg and you are moving toward an Italian rag soup or a Chinese egg drop soup. Frozen veg are very handy to dump in chicken soup. There is no WRONG way to make chicken soup unless you eat it while the chicken is still raw.1

Feel better! You have all the ingredients you need for a nice nourishing soup.
I would cook the onions and chicken first, then add veggies, seasoning and finally stock. The longer you let it simmer, the better the flavors will be. The important thing is to stay hydrated. That's the magic of soup0 -
Throw together all that you have and poof! You have chicken soup! It can be anything.0
