Gain and weight and inches but no change in size?

I haven't been doing well... and I've gained wait and a couple of inches. However, I haven't changed pant/shirt sizes. To be clear, I started at a very low size so any weight gaint should have made me go up a size. I also tended to buy jeanes / pants that were very tight when you first put them on (because as you wear them throughout the day they loosen up). However, all of these clothes still fit me! I am just so confused!? Maybe I just THINK I look bigger?
