I've been trying to lose the last 5-10 pounds and no matter what they will it come off. This is the only thing left that I must be doing wrong, I oversnack. Instead of grabbing an apple, or banana, or nuts I'll get like a handful of crackers or nuts or something a piece of brownie or break something off here and there "bites" the problem is I end up not counting them because it was just a "bite" what can I do to stop this!?

Stop the snacking full stop or start logging the minute bites one by one until you are so sick of it you reform your ways ;)

You can log nuts by the single but, a small handful is about an ounce.

I would just log everything no matter how small, get a digital scale and measure in grams.

Also you may want to evaluate if you're really needing to lose 5 to 10 more pounds or if you just need to tone up with some exercise. If you increase exercise you can afford the extra snack calories because you'll burn them.

Yes, log everything! Log the bites and tastes! Also if you're getting hungry in between meals- plan satisfying snacks into your daily calories and avert the unplanned snacking. Or if it's a certain time of day habit- go for a quick walk instead!

I think you should probably just plan ahead for snacks too- you know you're going to have them so just have healthy low calorie options ready to go.

    Weigh them and log accurately

Plan your snacking and log everything, or stop snacking and don't buy them.

Also consider if 5-10 pounds really is worth that extra effort.

Just don't buy those bad snacks! Stock up with really healthy snacks and keep them everywhere so you can reach for them really easily, so you won't be tempted.

    This was me for years.
Turms out, I just needed to eat a bigger breakfast. Now I eat a 2-egg omelette, with a bit of cheese in, every morning.
Yes its 200 calories but it stopped all the grazing through the day.
I know everyone is different but it might work for you too.
    I hope this can help.

Drink a black coffee, or drink a green/black tea instead.

Plan and prepare snacks and log them.
Have crackers or a brownie if that is what you really want for a snack and just leave enough calories for that kind of snack. That means eating fewer calories at other meals or exercising a bit more to compensate.

It helps me if I just stay out of the kitchen. If I go in there and stand in front of open cabinets, not good is going to come of it. If I haven't planned that snack, I try my best to stay the heck out of there

Log the bites. I logged two potato chips last night. (Stolen from my husband. I'd never have been able to portion out just two.)

This isn't really "binging". Just mindless snacking. Don't keep the brownies in the house. Measure out the nuts and don't keep them or the crackers in open view.
