Do you count working as excercise? I work as a psw 3 days a week 8 hour shifts. I am on my feet and walking, lifting, pushing wheel chairs? I get about 8000 steps in a shift. What are your thought?

No. That would be part of your normal activity level. I realize that since it's 3 days, it might not seem like it, but it is. Or, at least, it's supposed to be.

I don't track my exercise here; however, my job does result in 15,000-20,000 steps per day. Again, I don't count that as exercise nor would I track it, but when I need to factor my intake, my job partnered with my daily walks around the city I do for myself each day, makes me "lightly active" and not "non-active."

Nope. It's counted in your activity level, so logging it again can cause you to eat too much.

Depends on if you're using a tracker and if it's linked to MFP. I do and it is. I'm set to sedentary in MFP even though I'm not. MFP makes an adjustment to my calories based u what I do (or don't).

If you aren't doing all day tracking and have set your activity level correctly, then you shouldn't log it again as it should already be accounted for.

I use to have similar job and wore a pedometer. I logged anything over 10000 steps because I was at a very low weight and did not need to lose more.

This is what those little descriptions are for when you set your activity level.

I've never tracked my work. I figured if I gained weight while doing the same work, then I really can't track it as "exercise"
