How do you calculate your calories burned during strength training? I use a HRM during my cardio work out however I was told that this is not an accurate way to measure calories during strength training.
Say I do approx. 30 mins on various resistance machines using weights that are comfortable for me - is there a way to approx. the calories burned or should I just ignore these values and count it as good exercise only.....
Thanks...

Look in the cardio section for "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)" and enter the time spent on your workout for an estimate of the calories expended (this is one that I think MFP comes in a little on the low side but being conservative is probably a virtue)0
