How to properly track on the diary?

Okay, so the title may be a bit misleading, but this is a serious question for the community here.
Twice now, since starting my new regime, I've gone out on my nightly rides after dinner, usually due to having to stay late at work and not being able to time my ride to coincide with finishing at dinner time. Both times now, this has resulted in me finishing my ride and then promptly vomiting when I get to the doorstep.
Let me clarify here, I'm not putting a finger down my throat, it's purely from the exertion of the rides, and it's completely involuntary (the first time it happened, I had to wash my wife's car it came on so sudden that I didn't have time to hit the bushes).
My question to the community here is, when that happens, I usually drink about 4 cups of water to fill the void and wash the taste out. The problem is that this obviously means that what I ate for dinner is no longer in my stomach. Should I adjust the intake diary here by an estimate, or should I simply leave it be?

I tried to edit this to add the following, but apparently it's only editable for an hour.
P.s. I didn't know where this question would best fit, so I placed it here. If this is the wrong place for a question like this, let me know where is the best place and I'll post the question there. Thanks!0 -
I would simply just leave the entry be....0

I'd leave it be but maybe either go for your ride before dinner or have a little bit of it before and a little bit after? You still need the nutrients0

Same as PP's have said I would leave it but could you have a snack before your bike ride and then dinner when you get home instead?0

I agree with what the others said...change the time you ride??0

It sounds to me like you are Over Exerting, back off a bit. You need to find your Training Heart Rate...
Fat Burning (low end of target heart rate range) (220-your age) x 55% = (220 - ____) x .55 = ___bpm
Cardio (high end of target heart rate range) (220 - your age) x 90% = (220 - ___) x .90 = ___bpm
It is not advisabel for most individuals to reach the 90%, I would shoot for the mid point. I recommend purchasing a heart rate monitor that can signal you when you reach your optimum hr. If after doing this and you are only reaching your optimum heart rate and you still continue to become ill I would seek the advise of your doctor.0 -
I'm saving up for an HR monitor already .
As for the timing, I usually come home from work, eat a fruit snack of some sort (Apple, Banana, Nectarine, etc.) then head out about 45 minutes later. After which I eat dinner which is typically finished by the time I get back from my ride. If I follow this, I suffer no ill effects (pun intended).
The two times I've not followed that I've puked. Now, I'm not physically ill when this happens, it's just my body getting rid of what was in there, and it doesn't feel like you do when you're sick and puke. It's more like a simple purging of excess stuff in the gut. I don't know if I'm explaining it too well or not, but I feel fine before and after. It used to happen with me in the Army when I'd eat before PT and then go for a long run too. So frankly it's not unexpected from me TBH. Otherwise I feel great after my rides, and everything is hunky dory.
I forgot to mention that along with the water after, I usually down another apple or fruit to get something in there.
The problem with me is that I'm not a morning person; I haven't been ever since I got out of the Army. I did the 4am thing for 7+ years for Uncle Sam because he said I had to. I don't have to anymore so I don't; which means that the time I have to ride is in the evenings. I've already set aside the time for the rides, but sometimes work gets in the way (c'est la vie right?). I'm thinking that on days like that I'll simply wait until after the ride to eat, even if that makes the meal cold.0
