Undereye circles, hollow eyes and not very tight face skin

Hey guys, I'm 20 years old and I've lost around 21 pounds this far (1.53 cm CW 59kg GW around 50 kg depending on how I look). I noticed that since I've hit the 64-65kg mark my undereye circles became worse and my undereyes are hollow. Also the cheeks seem kinda booldogy? Not in an extreme way but it's not the smooth curved cheek you'd expect on a person. I know I still have a lot of weight to lose but I was wondering if anyone is facing (lol) the same problem after weightloss. Is it something that will get fixed over time (maybe as the skin adjusts to the decrease of fat?) or my face is simply that way naturally?

How fast did you lose 21 pounds? If you lost it really fast (like in less than 2 months), then that may be the problem.
Quick weight loss means you are not feeding your body enough to do its normal processes and it starts to become detrimental to your health.0 -
Yes your skin will probably bounce back, it's taking longer than the weight loss. Undereye circles can be allergies or anemia though, please get your health checked out.0

Sounds like nutritional deficiencies, probably lack of iron in your diet. How much are you eating during your weightloss, its possible you are eating too little and not getting the nutrition your body needs to keep itself together.0

Thanks for all your responces. My weightloss has been kind of a roller coaster. I lost most of the weight (from around 70kg to 64) in 2 months, going up and down, 64 to 62 took me around 1 month and the rest 62 to 59 in 1 month but I also built a bit of muscle. My last blood check showed that my iron was fine even though some stats of certain blood cells i think were lower than average but the doc said it was fine.
In my diet I don't eat veggies or fruit daily, i eat veg soups from time to time and broccoli every now and then. I try hard to stay in my calorie goal (around 1200 but sometimes 1400-1600 on the bad days). Plus because I'm a university student living on my own many times I survive on omelettes or ham and cheese sandwiches. I also take the multivitamine (?) called "immune biotix" for my pcos after my doc's recommendation.
What do you think I should do to try to fix that problem and maybe better my diet? Should I take one more multivitamine with the vitamines I need?0 -
The thing with mutlivitamins is that a lot of vitamins are only soluble with food and only up to a certain amount so truth is when you just pop a multivitamin and aren't eating a lot of fat at the same time most of it is just going to go right through you. Lower calorie or fat restricted diets often have issues with getting adequate vitamins and nutrition.
The classic cause of undereye circles of course is lack of adequate sleep which I imagine is a thing for university students as well so it could be you need more sleep.
Frankly if your diet and lifestyle is becoming such that your health and physical appareance are suffering you should probably stop or make it much more moderate. Eat more, sleep more.0 -
I agree with @Aaron_K123 that you may need some more sleep.
As for being a University student that lives on your own, it can be tough. Things cost more living alone and being a student often means you do not have a lot of money to begin with.
But if you do a little bit of planning, you can create nutritious meals on a budget. Also, because a lot of students are on-the-go a lot, some of these can be prepared beforehand and brought to class.
Might I suggest a big pot of chilli that you can make on the weekend and eat for a few days? You can use ground beef or turkey (or forgo it completely if you are vegetarians) and get beans, tomatoes, and other ingredients canned that might be more cost effective than buying fresh. You can make a big pot of it over the weekend and have meals for a few days. Get some nice protein and vitamins/minerals from the vegetables.0
