People have been eating them for a few thousand years, why would you think they're not good?

If you enjoy them, can fit them into your goals, and can afford them - sure. I don't see why not.

I personally love them as a sweet snack this time of year.

I just looked them up and it said 72 calories for 1/2 a cup, if that is accurate it seems like a pretty good snack to me. FYI, so much better if you take them out yourself and not buy them already done. Just sayin

A little annoying to get the seeds from a whole fruit but they are delicious

My Whole Foods takes them out fresh daily.. have noticed no difference in quality or deliciousness comparing in the fruit or already removed.

You just need to spank your pomegranate right.

Because they have 72 calories in half a cup and I am calorie counting

If they are too much to fit into you calorie goals then maybe not. If you can fit them in on a daily basis then, yes.
    Don't overthink this process.

Also I'd look for a calorie count in grams and weigh them before eating rather than use the 1/2 cup measurement. That can be off by quite a bit.
