Hi everyone,
I recently started a ketogenic diet and came across this thread on Reddit " https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/comments/31g42j/keto_meter_for_canadians/"
I tried to get a Freestyle Precision Neo for free and was lucky enough to receive one from the company by following the link in the reddit thread. I placed the order last week and within 2 days I received it with a box of 10 glucose test strips.
Now I am using both the glucose and the ketone strips to monitor my progress and stats but if you're specifically only interested in the ketone strips you will need to order them online as I have looked around at several different pharmacies and none seem to have the ketone strips. The cheapest place I could find them online was well.ca for 25.99 for a box of 10. Not the cheapest thing to buy but I test only once a week and use my regular ketostix for everyday monitoring.
I do believe the meter is still available but please note you must qualify to receive one.
I just thought I would share this to new keto members who are interested in testing their blood for accurate stats but who may not be able to financially invest in all the equipment needed.
