I'm HANGRY and I know it!

Anyone else out there feel themselves on edge every now and then due to hunger? I know I sure do! Mine usually occurs mid afternoon around 4pm. That's my natural "slump time" and unless I have a snack on hand to curb my mood a bit I'm totally not myself! Am I alone here? How do you ward of the HANGRY?

    I always grab a piece of fruit mid-afternoon. Apples especially but whatever you like. Maybe you low-carbers might not like that idea but it works for me every time. Then I can prep my dinner without spazzing out!

    Yes! And this is the after school mad-time with all the kids' activities. My poor cherubs probably bear the brunt more often than they should (although would it kill them to just listen to me once in a while?! ;) )

    I've started packing myself snacks along with theirs when we have places to get to, or joining them for a small after school snack.
    And making sure I drink plenty - I tend to drink more in the morning, but trying to increase the afternoon water intake. Off to fill my water bottle now...

    Im totally with you here! And we use the hangry word at our house a lot lol i usually try to get some water when it comes up and quickly get myself busy to avoid cupboards and fridge :wink:
