One thing I can recommend is fruits and green veggies. Basically things that have large volume but small amount of calories.
Fiber. Slow digesting foods. Win.

I think he's saying a calorie is not a calorie in terms of satiation only.
Precisely.
Listen: a calorie = calorie in terms of unit of measurement for energy.
But when it comes to satiation, think about it this way: I'd like someone to do the following and tell me how they feel after two weeks spent following two different diets, consuming the EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF CALORIES EVERY DAY:
1) Diet A) Whole foods, a good balance of carbs, protein and fat, low GI carbs and plenty of fruit.
2) DietNothing but Twinkies and Ho-Hos'.
Then come back here and tell me which diet made you feel better, less hungry, and fueled your workouts better.
Who thinks Twinkies will win? Raise your hand?0
