Not exactly new to myfitnesspal but I think finally ready to give it a real try. I lost around 50 pounds a couple years ago- down from 330 pounds- and now I have gained about 20 back in recent months and I am not happy to be hovering around 300 again! I would like to lose about 50 again- i figure I have done it before and kept most of the weight off for some time and I can do it again!
More about me- I am a dog walker so very very active and also an artist. I'm in good shape but I am carrying around way too much fat and obviously it is slowing me down. I would like to be able to do more active things that I could do before I gained weight 5 years ago like run and fit into cute clothes...
Most of my teen years I weighed around 175 which was better but when I was about 20 I stopped taking a SSRI and had a very bad hard time taking care of myself- I would eat eat eat and then lay in bed in day. Suffice to say I gained some real weight during this period. Ideally I would like to get back down to 175 but I think doing it in smaller goals will be perhaps easier to deal with, mentally.
