Bloated from water?

I've started drinking a gallon of water a day since Monday. Today I feel extremely bloated. Nothing has changed in my diet since I first started my journey. Is it possible that it's just bloat from water? If so what are some tips to make it go down? I'm in a wedding this weekend so I need it gone asap! TIA!

Water is good for you, and helps flushes thinks out (especially poo! ).
    But I'm thinking a gallon is too much: it's 16 cups / 128 ounces.
btw ~ best to drink small amounts during the day, instead of large quantities in short period of time. If you drink a lot just before you eat, it dilutes yours stomach acids & it's harder to digest your food.... maybe that's what's going on ?

    other ideas...................

    Bloating likely caused by...

Sodium - too much. My suggestion is eat only low sodium foods between now & the wedding.
Fiber - too much fiber ( ie beans & some veggies ~ think gas), or not enough fiber (think constipation).
Dairy products - ie lactose intolerant (amazing what has dairy, ie salami, prepared foods, etc)
Monthly cycle - "that time of the month".

    good luck

This gave me a belly laugh!

@Blynn2619, anybody might feel bloated if they drank that much water. Maybe you ought to drink less. :p

“It is a myth that bloating in the stomach is from fluid accumulation in healthy adults, because the abdomen is not a place where fluids accumulate first," Jensen says. "Instead, you would see it in your feet or ankles as long as you are upright."

So what causes gas to accumulate and wreak havoc on how you feel and look? Here are answers from experts plus their stomach-slimming advice.
