The data base says that a whole banana nut muffin from Giant Bakeries is 571 calories??!! I usually only eat half but decided to eat the whole thing this morning...is there really that much??!! I'm just like there goes today's calories and I'm not able to exercise today either due to injuries. :frown:

That sounds about right, muffins are extremely dense and packed with calories

571 actually might be a little low

I'd say 600 for a muffin is about average. Lesson learned. Log it and move on; no harm done.

Yup. I honestly just eat cupcakes I make myself now. They actually have fewer calories.

Generally, muffins are just big cupcakes without icing.
Vitatops makes a 100 calorie muffin top.

Yep, it's right. That's why I try to consult MFP before getting something like a muffin. But, to be honest, after losing 51 pounds like it says you have, one transgression isn't going to hurt.

Sorry, misread. You're still doing a great job on losing, just not to 51 yet. You'll get there!

Don't stop eating them, but be educated about them.
