Workouts with a broken ankle

Does anybody have any suggestions on workouts that I can do with a broken ankle? I'm currently wearing a boot and I'm not cleared yet to support 100% weight on ankle. I've gained some weight through my recovery and would like to start losing weight/exercising again. It's hard tracking calories and not doing any exercises to help reach my weight loss goal! Any tips would be appreciated!

I started swimming about 3 weeks after ORIF surgery on my broken ankle. I was not weight bearing at the time. It felt so good to move! I would ask your doctor if you could swim. Get a pull buoy between your legs so you don't kick!
