Calories in Hawaiian Foods?

Another stereotypical post asking for help estimating calories in a restaurant's menu. I apologize in advance, but in maintenance every little bit does matter and I don't want to completely blow it! My daily caloric allowance is 1,600 calories and I was hoping to spend no more than 750-840 calories for a dinner meal.

Is anyone here familiar with the caloric content of various Hawaiian Foods? I'll be dining at a new Hawaiian restaurant that opened recently near my house (http://www.eatatuncles.com/main-menu/), and I've never had Hawaiian cuisine before so I'm not really sure what to expect in terms of portions/calories/what's good and what's gross.

I'm not normally a huge meat eater, and ginger grosses me out. I don't think I'll be ordering any alcoholic beverages (may take a sip of my boyfriend's if he orders one but I don't generally consume alcohol), so the calories will all be coming from food which hopefully makes it easier. I'm assuming I can ask for anything to be made without ginger though, so any tips at all (including caloric estimates) would be greatly appreciated! Tips on what I should try, too, just in case I overlooked something!

Currently I'm torn between trying a Poke Bowl of some sort (probably tuna), the Saimin Hawaiian Style Ramen, and the Suka's Salmon (sake cream sauce sounds rather intriguing, does anyone know what it's like?)

I also noticed a banana leaf in the pig entree. I don't think I'll be ordering this, but what do banana leaves even taste like? Do you eat them or are they decorative?

I really need a Hawaiian 101 lesson! I can't find any articles online for eat this not that at Hawaiian restaurants, and I usually look at these before eating any sort of ethnic dishes I'm not familiar with! I appreciate everyone's help ;)

P.S. I don't see much taro on the menu but I do LOVE taro and if taro poi ends up popping up on the menu when I'm there I definitely plan on ordering it.

Just go enjoy yourself...I've been in maintenance for over 3.5 years and one enjoyable meal is irrelevant. Eat a little lighter today and go enjoy...it's pretty impossible to just estimate. you could just find something similar in the database and do the best you can, but it's going to be highly variable from place to place, how much oil they use, etc....

Like I said, just go enjoy...you do't get fat from one day of overeating.
