I want to create a weight loss competition for my family! We all could shed some pounds.. But I need them to have some kind of prize! I don't want to spend lots of money, thought about having a $5 entrance fee, just to help pay for prizes!
What I need:
How long should the competition last?
Is $5 too much?
What prizes should I buy?
Thanks!!
ALSO. I love friend requests (:

When Dr. Oz did his Transformation Nation, it was for about 6 months, and to lose 10% of your body weight (or get to a healthy weight - depending on where you were on your journey). If that's too long, maybe you could do 3 months and 5%.
I don't think $5 is too much - in fact, I was thinking maybe it should be closer to $10 or $20.
For prizes, you could get gift cards to places like Walmart, Target, or a gas station. You could go to the Dollar Store and get some silly prizes. I know Party City has a bunch of different types of things you could put in goodie bags for cheap (like the Dollar Store stuff).
You could have 1 prize for "the biggest loser" and then have little brown paper bags filled with silly stuff (silly putty, bottle of super bubbles, a crazy pen, maybe an index card with a healthy favorite recipe on it, etc.) for the "not the biggest loser's"0 -
Great idea! Thank you!!0
