I am curious if anyone on here had tried 9round kickboxing gym and if so what you think of it. It claims you can burn 500 calories in 30 minutes which I highly doubt is possible, but it sounds like it could be more interesting then a regular gym. Plus you get to hit things, and I just went through a bad breakup and I really want to hit things . I know it isn't going to be like a regular boxing gym but as I have zero experience with this kind of thing it sounds like it would be a good starting point. But I can't really find much information about it - is the cost reasonable or is it expensive, is the equipment good, is there good training involved so you don't get hurt (I know that punching things can hurt your wrists for example). No one I know has even heard of it and there are only 2 reviews for the local one on yelp (both 5 stars) so I am hoping someone on here had heard of it and tried it out. I tried to do a search and got zero results so I am not sure if that is good or bad - I know that some gyms like Planet Fitness have a lot of discussion on here which I have found helpful so I am keeping my fingers crossed that someone has tried it. Honestly I am less interested for the health benefits (I already exercise at home) I just see that as a bonus that comes with getting to hit things.

Sorry it is so long - tl/dr - is this a decent place and is it worth the cost.

I can't give a whole lot of information but, my best friend uses it as does another friend. They both really like it. I think it costs her $50-$60 per month but she got some price cut for signing up for a year. I do think she's mildly hurt herself once or twice but nothing major. As for burning calories, she says it is an incredibly tough workout (although it hasn't caused her to lose any weight).

I love it. My fiancé and I go together sometimes too and always have a blast with each other and the trainers. They make you work and It'll make you sweat for sure. It's a tough workout for anyone because they adjust the intensity for each person based on their fitness level. But it's extremely fun. Each gym is priced differently so you'd have to look around to see which one is the best fit for you.

Awesome thanks! They just opened one not too long ago that is about 5 minutes from my house and I have been trying to find out some info about it that is from people who have used it, not just the promo materials from the company, so it is great to hear from someone who has actually been there,
