double calories burned on fitbit

I log my exercise on MFP and wear a fitbit one, and later after it syncs with my computer it will log the activity *again* on the fitbit dashboard.? I have to manually delete that activity or else it tells me that I have 2x calories burned through activity, when I've already counted them on MFP.
Does that make any sense? and am I doing something incorrectly? I don't log anything on the fitbit dashboard, I do look at it at the end of the day, but I am tipped off that something happened when my MFP home numbers shoot up and my NET calories go into the negative because of this phantom exercise that fitbit is recording.
Any help or ideas?

I log my exercise on mfp, and it syncs with the fitbit, It looks at what the fitbit says i did and it adjusts it. (Things like cycling/exercise bike don't often register on fitbit) at the end of the day it adjusts the final numbers. I haven't had it doubled up.0

Not sure if this will help but I am having an issue with MFP sending my manually entered fitness to fitbit's site at GMT instead of GMT-7 like where I live (Pacific Time Zone). If I enter the activity with a start time of 12pm PDT, fitbit will show a start time of 7pm.
I have been entering my fitness on my phone app which seems to fix the issue for me. Others go to fitbit and manually change the start time.
If this is not your issue, are you entering the fitness activity on MFP with the correct start time and duration? If not, you need to make sure that the start time on MFP is set for the same time that you started your activity so the MFP entered activity can override what fitbit says you did for that time. If you dont, you will get a double count of cals.
Hope this helps.0
