Time for change

Hi Everyone,
It's time to take back control of my life! I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and I want to make sure that I'm tracking everything. I tend to stick to a low-carb/high-fat diet...but I also travel a lot, and sometimes that is hard to manage. But, I want to figure this hypothyroid stuff out, so I'm going to start logging all that I do. My weight is out of control. And since the meds don't seem to be helping, I want to make sure that my doctor has all of the correct information on my eating and work-out patterns, for the proper medications. Unfortunately, after trying with no results, to eat well and exercise...I gave up. I have to change my behavior and be more optimistic. Everything else in my life is great!
The problem is, that I am tired ALL of the time. I like to do kick-boxing, when I do work out. I purchased a product that does give me a burst of energy (although it only lasts a few hours), but I'm hoping it will give me a lift to entice me to work out!
I know that in time I will feel better. Especially once we have my medication optimized. In the meantime, I need to kick about 40 pounds to the curb!
Any suggestions on how to go about doing that?
Sincerely,
AJ
