It would be awesome if NOBODY but the OP answered the questions. Think people will be able to resist?

I don't think she's coming back. How long do we have to resist?

Not only that but this is a public forum. What do people not understand about that? If you want things to happen a certain way or to have certain people answer things (or only get specific type of answers and behaviours)..go start a group.

Well, since this thread has been kind of a dud thus far, I vote you go for it.

This has been asked before, but since the OP said to go ahead and ask:

Do you feel you can fit honey into a "clean eating" regimen, as it's been processed by the bees before harvest? If yes, why? If no, what unprocessed sweeteners do you recommend, if any?

Can You please explain what clean eating is? Thanks in Advance.

There is no legal or official definition, but basically it means eating unprocessed or minimally processed foods. Starting meals with foods as close to their natural state as possible.
What do you think are the advantages of eating clean? Do you understand that "eating clean" has no effect on weight loss?
The perceived advantages to eating clean are better odds of long term good health. Eating clean is not a weight loss diet.
How does it make you feel that so many people feel they need to "eat clean" in order to achieve their fitness and weight loss goals and fail as a direct result of this lifestyle they find unsustainable?
This is not a question about clean eating, but I’ll answer anyway. The same way it makes me feel when they fail at any other attempt to achieve fitness and weight loss goals. Rather sad for them. For those that succeed via clean eating or any other method, I feel happy for them.
Or why are there so many clean eaters that are on a site for weight loss in the first place. Most seem to have always eaten this way, not a new trend. What gives?
Actually most on MFP seem not to have eaten this way and are starting is a way to improve health and reduce calories by eliminating trigger junk foods. But you can overeat on a clean diet the same as you can on any other diet. Many calorie dense foods would fit the clean description.
What are some clean recipes for dinner. I'm looking for no carbs and no sugar yet tasty
Taste is personal preference but without carbs you are pretty much stuck with only meat. Most unprocessed meat will qualify as clean so choose your favorite.
If you are a clean eater, does that mean zero processed foods? (i.e. nothing from a can, or a box, ever?)

Is there an IIFYM version of "clean eating" = so you can mostly eat clean as long as you satisfy "x" requirements?
No, it does not mean zero processed foods and no boxes/cans. Quinoa, beans, frozen vegetables, meat, eggs, etc. are typically sold in packages and may be part of a clean diet. Clean eating is not about macros, so yes, you could get your macros from clean foods if you wanted.
Do you feel you can fit honey into a "clean eating" regimen, as it's been processed by the bees before harvest? If yes, why? If no, what unprocessed sweeteners do you recommend, if any?
Yes, honey may be clean. Some commercials honey may be overly processed but raw honey would certainly fit. Some syrups may also be clean.

Oh thanks for the answers. I didn't realize you had two accounts, one of which was the alter ego of a Beachbody coach. Thanks for answering all of the questions as you offered in the OP, but it may have been less confusing if you had used that account to post instead.

I only have one account. I am not a BeachBody coach. I am probably too old for them to even consider as a coach should I want to be one, which I don't.. But, hey, nice response.

Hey everyone! Was talking to a few people on here today about clean eating and thought it may be fun to make an "ask me" thread on it. About two years ago a completely revamped my eating and went from candy, pasta and chicken only to clean eating. It was a huge switch for me but I reached my goals with it and now help others do the same as a fitness and nutrition coach.

I know it can be really confusing at first with so much information out there so go ahead, ask away!

What do you want to know or are confused with on clean eating?

I don't understand...your chicken and pasta were dirty? What exactly is wrong with chicken...and a little pasta? How are they "unclean?"

I actually think those were pretty good answers and plenty of us on IIFYM eat diets that are pretty close to what you describe as "clean." Then again, I've only associated myself with IIFYM here on MFP for the purpose of tracking macros in pursuit of gaining and maintaining more muscle mass. My diet has always been pretty close to this definition of "clean" and my major objections to the term is the way it's used in an holier than thou manner to prove some sort of dietary moral superiority, or to abuse people with threats of cancer.

Most people would say that junk foods are only trigger foods if you had first eliminated them from your diet, and then happen to have some. Many IIFYMers have junk food all the time and it doesn't trigger anything because we have not tried to deprive ourselves of it. Clean eating is a recipe for binge eating. If you eliminate any foods that you consider unclean, most of which happen to be very tasty, then anytime you happen to taste one of these foods, you have a sense that your diet is blown for the day and you go on a horrendous binge. I see this all the time with clean eaters.

Follow-up question (since the original follow-up was never answered): Why is the processing that bees do to make honey "clean" or otherwise different than processing done to make other "dirty" foods? Does "clean" just mean "not processed by humans?"

    QFT

I've encountered a lot of clean eaters lately who are like door to door salespeople, wanting to sell you on the WONDER!, the MAGIC, the AWE of 'clean eating' but they never quite get to how much it's going to cost you, they just keep selling selling selling!
