i hate to be that google hypochondriac, and i'm probably going to call my g.p. anyway. but in the meantime i just have to ask. has anyone dealt with this? heard about it? the medical name is episacral lipoma, and it's a new one on me but apparently not unknown among people who lift 'heavy' weights.

Tendency is inherited and minor injury triggers growth which is probably why heavy lifters may be more prone to this. Microscopic injury triggers growth in muscle too.
