Don't worry! Have you started recently? Have you got a lot to lose or are you also gaining muscles?
The first weeks/months are the hardest, since it takes a while, before others, the scale or you may notice the difference. Don't let that get you down - be patient and take it one day at a time and you will eventually get results. All the best to you!3 -
Great post! I just started this week so this post helped motivate me!1

we all need motivation. thats a given. the reality is that you have to find your own. someone can't "give you motivation that is of any real lasting value". Oh sure, they can fire you up, coaches do that all the time and there are motivational speakers that "get us going" in the moment...but these are all very temporary.
For this weightloss "journey" to be successful for anyone, you simply must find your own heartfelt motivation that drives you forward when all else fails.
Lets face it and i say this all the time when i see posts like this, none of these online "relationships and i use that term lightly" will ever be reliable enough to keep you going through thick and thin when it gets tough. none of these people are really around at your weakest moments to pull you through.
Success you want? one way to find it is to set up this APP with your body composition numbers - weight, age, gender, height, activity level - then select the # of pounds you want lose per week and get your calorie allotment. Then go to the nearest store and buy a digital scale with grams and ounces and begin to log solids in grams, liquids in ounces. LOG EVERYTHING and STAY WITHIN YOUR CALORIE ALLOTMENT. (caps for emphasis).
Let no one or anything stand in your way or derail your efforts.
Like it or not, this is on you and you alone. I've yet to run across someone who is force feeding me and make me fat and likely you are the same. own it, you are in charge.
Don't let this discourage you but let it motivate you to find your reason for doing this and let nothing stop you till you reach your goal.
Again, i post this all the time, not because i'm smarter than anyone, but because i believe passionately that success is found when you find your own steely determination to do this, and if you "need" someone else and are relying on this forum for friends that keep you going, you will fail. this a tool, its not solution.
best wishes.6 -
I've been doing MFP for two months now and progress is slow but is happening. I'm usually the first to get demotivated when results aren't quick but even I believe that I can do it this time and that being on here is the way forward. And yes, true motivation can only really come from your own desire for change but the community on here really does help keep the focus. Good luck, you can do this!0
