It's early in the season, but there is substantial snow already falling in the west, north, and northeast with some resorts already partially opening. Anyone else already waxing their boards or skis in preparation for chasing blizzards this winter?

I'm quite excited as I'm in some of the best cardio shape of the past 5 years. Already grabbed a season pass for me and my daughter, and hoping to travel up and down the east coast this winter. (unfortunately no time for Colorado or British Columbia).

Not yet...still hitting 75/80* here most days. It will cool off substantially in November and we should start getting snow in the mountains...most of the ski areas here set to open on Thanksgiving but they rarely do or only have a couple of runs open...we won't really get into the thick of it until mid December and into January.

I start getting excited usually around Christmas...

I live in DC. We won't have snow for another 2 months, so I just travel to Snowshoe, WV or NY or higher for early season access. Last year was a bummer in terms of weather, but I woke up to 30 degree weather this morning and have been seeing multiple inches of snow dump in many areas already. Killington, VT already had their lifts running this week for a trail or two. Hoping to spend Thanksgiving weekend at a resort.

It's still 75-80 here in Colorado. :( I think one resort has opened (A Basin). I don't ski or board, but I'm ready for fat biking and cold weather riding.

Winter sports here is just colder summer sports. And it really sucks when it rains (34° F and raining with wind sucks)

I've been snowed on several times already this year. Looking forward to heading to the Methow Valley to ski.
