I have been going to the gym for around five weeks, and have been loosing a pound a week , i usually go on the treadmill and bike but this week on Monday i decided to try some strength training machines, my muscles ache still, i went on the scales this morning and iv put on a pound, i measure my food using scales and i know that i have not ate an extra 3500 calories to put on the pound, and log everything that i eat, could doing a different workout make the scales go up,

Sore muscles can hold water for repair. You didn't over eat - you didn't gain fat. This is only temporary.

Thankyou, In my head i know that i did not over eat but when you see the scales go up and the effort you put in, makes you feel defeated!!
