Insanity or asylum?

Hey everyone! I'm a beginner in this whole food and nutrition and fitness thing. I am a female hockey player but the only training I do is for hockey. I feel really crappy about myself and I'm worried about the upcoming hockey season. I really want to try the insanity or asylum workout. I think that once I see results using these workouts, I'll be super motivated. What are your thoughts on these workout plans and are they effective? Also which one should I do?

    I've used Insanity but I'm not an athlete so idk how much of my opinion would be of use to you but it's a pretty intense cardio workout. If you can keep up I'd say you should be ready for anything doing that program.
