Dread Shopping for Fruits & Veggies? Have 'Em Brought to You

So, I just posted a similar status message on my page, but I thought I would broaden it for any others beyond my MFP friends who may be interested.
A good friend of mine who ADORES organic produce mentioned to me a while ago this home-delivery service she uses to get most of her fruits and veggies.
Now that I find myself going through especially fruits but also some veggies faster than ever before, it occurred to me this morning that this service would now be perfect for me. As I usually don't go outta my way to buy or therefore eat organic, I figure this'll also force me to start doing so.
With that said, I know most of you don't live here, lol..but perhaps if you're in a similar boat as mine, you could Google and ask around to see if there are any companies/organizations in your city that offer a similar service.
If you'd like to get an idea of what all the service is about, details and such, or if you happen to live in Charlotte, N.C. or one of its surrounding areas.
Anywho, just an idea Happy Shopping!

They are called CSA programs (Community Supported Agriculture) or Buy-Ins
You can search for programs in your area here: http://www.localharvest.org/csa/0 -
I did one here in WA called Full Circle. The prices weren't awful compared to supermarkets...the quality however wasn't nearly as good as I hoped. A lot of the time my food was going bad before it even got to my door.0

One of the girls at my work is participating in this program from a local farm. The amount of food for a week is so much that she and a friend split the basket (for $10 each of them!), and by the end of the following week, she's either making massive salads or juicing them, just so the produce doesn't go to waste. It's a great idea, and had I known about it, I would have gotten in on it before summer started!!!0
