Personal training certs?

Which certs do you have and which do you find the best (and why)?

    I certified through NASM and let it lapse, recertifying with Shredded by Science Academy.

    I like the latter much more than the former however my entire coaching business is online and so I do not require a major and accredited organization to work.

    SBS was FAR more practical, FAR more current on the existing body of evidence, and far more relevant.

    Relevant to whom? Two thirds of their syllabus is geared toward competitive powerlifters & bodybuilders. A deconditioned desk worker who has never entered a gym before might need different programming. :+1:

    That's a fair point. I coach a number of fitness enthusiasts and some powerlifters in a strictly online atmosphere and that's absolutely relevant context here.

    I ALSO coach deconditioned desk workers, and the information I got through the SBS academy was also relevant to that population however I don't disagree with your statements and you were right to call me out on that, thanks.
