Using hrm to measure calories during Insanity - accuracy

I do the pure cardio session quite often and I'm wondering if my hrm is underestimating the calorie burn. I find myself much hungrier after compared to running although running appears to burn more calories in same timeframe.
I get about a 370cal burn during this session.
Because insanity isn't steady state cardio but certainly demanding physically on top of the cardio involved, is it possible that hrm's might underestimate in this case?

HRMs are only mostly accurate(nothing is 100% accurate) for steady state exercises so yeah its going to either estimate high or low( I would say it would estimate high more often than not) you can always cut those calories burned in half. its better to underestimate burns than overestimate them.0

Thanks. Very good read. This part from the article makes a point on this
"In other conditions--arm work, overhead work, "anaerobic" or sprint exercise--an HR increase will reflect in increase in VO2, but it is not a consistently measurable and reproducible relationship, therefore the HRM calorie count is not as accurate"0
