A lot more hungrier?

So last night I increased my amount of time for workouts, and added some new things in. Today I have been so hungry and just feel like eating more, is this a normal feeling when exercising and trying to get a flat stomach and more fit? I dont want to overeat so I tried not to over do it today. I am getting enough water and sports drinks for electrolytes and drink water between my workouts if I need it.

Makes perfect sense. When you exercise you deplete energy. Food is energy.

How much further down the metabolic rabbit hole would you like to go?

I would like to lose about 40lbs and have a slimmer stomach, but I know there isn't such a thing as spot reduction. I'm currently cooking dinner and will go workout in an hour or so afterwards.

It can happen but it's also worth noting that hunger is quite complex and not everyone has the same response to exercise as far as how it effects appetite.

Intensity of exercise may matter as well.

I remember when I was a newbie and I began lifting weights...I was soooo hungry all the time. I ended up gaining 7 lbs, most of it fat, in about 2 months.

I then stopped working out with such intensity. I did a more slow progressive overload with the weights and I found I was able to control my metabolism and appetite better.

Perhaps you just need to take it a bit easier on your body and do it slower.

I don't know what you are eating but I'd suggest complex carbohydrates instead of simple carbs and adding a bunch of vegetables to your diet. The veggies are filling, good for you and most take quite a bit of energy to digest. Just don't add a bunch of calories in sauces or dips to them.

We actually haven't gone grocery grocery shopping yet cause lack of time in our schedule and just went to get a few things the other day till we have more time. I think what caused it to happen was my portion sizes were too small for the exercises I was doing. There's already vegetables and fruits in my diet since I'm vegetarian. Last night I ended up eating rice, steamed veggies, eggs and potatos which seemed to give me enough fuel for my workout and kept me full. Thank you though. I will buy more carbohydrated foods once I have the time to get to the store. :)
