I've suddenly found some new motivation, after stepping on the scale and discovering that I've gained another 10lbs in only 1 month. So I started off strong, stopped eating out so much and drinking less sofa and restarted an old workout regimen. And I'm happy to say I've lost 5lbs in 2 weeks. It's now been a total of 4 weeks total now, and I haven't lost anymore weight, but I'm still feeling very determined. So I've decided to give MFP another try. My goal is to lose 60lbs by May. I've just started a new job, and I plan to join a gym soon. I've never had my own gym membership, I've always tagged along with my bf. but I've never really known what to do, so I would do cardio with him and then we'd split up and do our own thing and I'd kind of just walk around or hide in the bathroom until he was done. So I was wondering, does anyone have any advise on what I can do or where I can start at the gym? Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone and good luck with your own fitness journeys!

If you feel awkward at a gym you might always feel awkward even when you do know what to do (if you don't like being around people while exercising). Well, that's how I feel anyway. I've been exercising fairly regularly for years and if I signed up for a gym membership I know I'd never use it. I bought a few things to exercise at home. I have a step that can also be used as a weight bench, a high step, various weights, boxing gloves, bands, mat, discs, and a subscription to Cathe OnDemand. Don't even need any major equipment to get in shape. Feel free to add me and if you do sign up for the gym, let me know how it's working for you.
