I don't know how many calories to eat

I get mixed answers. I haven't been able to lose the last ten pounds in 7 months. While it's been hard, I've had slip ups too. Do I increase my calories and slow down or go even lower and try to lose. I'm confused and tired of starting over. (I'm currently eating 1350)

Cut down on your carbs and eat more fats and proteins

OP, what is your age, height, current weight, activity level without exercise, gender?

Also, do you use a food scale? If you exercise, do you eat back any calories?

No. Not necessary. Weight loss/maintenance/gain is all about calories.

You had some pretty good answers in the other thread related to this... did they miss the mark or are you looking for something specific?

Enter your details into MFP, select sedentary as your activity level, select 1 lb/week as your desired weight loss ... and voila!

    Then stick to it.

I've heard that the last stretch is usually the hardest. Have you lost anything at all in the last 7 months, or have you just been at the same weight for the last 7 months?

Do you use a food scale? If not, you may need to tighten up your logging and maybe decrease your calories by a bit (100 maybe) just to get to those last 10 lbs.

Set mfp to lose 0.5lbs per week, be patient, be accurate!

Eat below TDEE, but above BMR

OP there is no reason to go out to an online calculator to find anything... MFP takes the guess work out this for you.. Simply double check your stats in MFP and set MFP up to lose .5 pounds a week

Eat that amount every day (do not go over and definitely do not go under) and be patient. And if you exercise, you will need to decide if you eat these back or not (a portion thereof), perhaps do not for a few weeks.

Logging your food consumption and being honest with your logging efforts also making sure the entries you chose from the database are accurate.

Follow the method for a min of 3 - 4 weeks..

Yep ... on the "i have not lost weight in 7 months" thread, we asked for OP to open her diary.. and I guess we did miss the mark.
