Weight loss per week

Is the two pound per week possible? I did have a 1900 cal daily goal then I changed my goal so it's now 1300 cal a day.

    Did MFP give you a 1900kcal goal as the "2lb per week" loss setting? If so, eat that. Don't arbitrarily drop your calorie goal without trying it out for a month or two.

    Are you weighing your food and choosing accurate entries in the database? That's pretty important, when it comes to actually accurately measuring your calorie intake.

    What are your stats? It can be possible, but it might not be ideal.

    Possible =/= desirable or sustainable.

    No-one knows anything about you, where you are starting from, how much you have to lose, your stats etc. etc..

    Okay. It can be doable for a few weeks for you, but when you update your calories along the way you'll eventually hit the minimum of 1200 calories. You'll be better at that point, if not sooner, bringing your calories up to a 1.5 pound per week loss at that point.

    For the record, I started at 5'6 248 and I felt better aiming for 1.5 pounds per week even at the start.

    Look at it this way, you're a girl and you have this monthly cycle of ups and downs with water retention so some weeks you can lose 2 lb and some weeks you can't. And that's if you're trying to. Log your food accurately. Eat enough fiber and protein to be sated and enough vegetables to get your vitamins. Exercise if you want and log that accurately too. You'll lose weight eventually.

    I see this as very good advice.

    I had mine set to 2 pounds a week at first .. ended up changing to 1.5 per week .. the extra few calories helped ..
    Some weeks I still show 2 pounds lost .. some I stay the same .. trending down is what matters the most I think ..

    Good luck
